 Office Administrator

Location: St. Barthlomew’s Anglican Church, 1357 Logan Rd, Mt Gravatt

Hours: Casual (hours may be in the range of approximately 8 to 12 hours per week)

St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, Mt Gravatt Parish, part of the Anglican Diocese of Southern Queensland, is seeking applications from suitably qualified persons for the casual role of Office Administrator. The successful applicant will provide essential support to the Parish Rector and Wardens and will contribute to the life of a dynamic parish community.

The role provides administrative support and contributes to the smooth running of the parish.

 Hours: Casual (hours may be in the range of approximately 8 to 12 hours per week)

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support and managing bookings within the parish

  • Develop weekly parish communications

  • Utilise the full complement of Microsoft Office applications and bring an aptitude to learn new systems and technology

  • Work within the mission, values and principles of the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland

  • Be positively responsive to parishioner enquiries (whether in-person, via phone or email)

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality

Desirable

  • Experience using design software, either Canva or Adobe Indesign

  • Prior experience and/or appropriate qualifications related to this or a similar role.
